Turn Your Website Into a Trade-In Engine

Next Round gives partners a full suite of ways to put trade-in in front of members, from ready-to-send emails to physical and digital materials. Website integration is one more tool in that kit, and it's one of the most seamless. Instead of members reaching the trade-in portal through a link or a separate page, the portal lives directly on the shop's own website.

Hodson Golf put that feature to work. We built the Next Round trade-in portal into their site, so a member can book a fitting and see what their current clubs are worth in the same place, at the same time. The result: over $16,000 in trade-in value, with a quarter of it coming in a single month.

Why integration drives volume

When the trade-in tool lives on the shop's own website, it becomes part of what the member is already doing.

A member visiting the site to book a fitting is, by definition, thinking about their equipment. That is the exact moment a trade-in quote is most relevant. With the portal built into the site, the member can see what their current clubs are worth right there, while the upgrade is already on their mind. The quote meets the member in the same visit, at the same moment they are making an equipment decision.

That's why integration pairs so well with a site that already draws traffic. Hodson runs a fitting studio, so members come to the site with a specific purpose: booking an appointment. The trade-in portal sits right alongside that, catching members who are already on the site with equipment on their mind.

The same logic applies to any partner whose website members visit regularly and with intent. Fitting appointment signups, online shopping, an events calendar, tee time bookings, any page that pulls members in on a regular basis is a natural pairing for the trade-in portal. The traffic is already there. Integration puts trade-in in front of it.

Hodson's biggest month coincided with a 20% trade-in bonus, the kind Next Round funds for every new partner during their first month on the platform. The website integration put the tool in front of members at the right moment, and the launch bonus gave them a reason to act on it right away. Integration made participation easy; the funded bonus made the timing urgent. Together they concentrated a quarter of Hodson's annual trade-in value into that opening stretch.

Why the lift is minimal

Building a portal into a website sounds like a technical project most shops would rather not take on. It isn't one for the shop, because Next Round handles the build.

The integration is set up for the partner, not by them. The shop doesn't need a developer, a web team, or technical know-how. Next Round does the work of embedding the portal into the site, and the shop ends up with a trade-in tool living natively on their own pages, ready for members to use.

And website integration isn't limited to any one kind of partner. It's available to everyone. Any partner with a website can have the trade-in portal built into it.

What this means for your shop

The lesson from Hodson Golf is that placement adds another layer to member participation. Every channel a partner uses puts trade-in in front of members in a different way, and website integration adds one more, positioned exactly where members make equipment decisions.

It works best where a site already draws members in. If your website handles fitting appointments, online orders, an events calendar, or tee time bookings, you already have the traffic. Adding the trade-in portal puts a quote in front of members during a visit they were making anyway, so whenever a reason to trade arrives, whether a launch bonus, a promotion, or simply the itch to upgrade, the tool is right there to act on.

It's one more bespoke feature in the Next Round marketing suite, built for your site and available to every partner who wants it.
